Position Summary: 

Incumbent will be responsible for writing and copyediting a variety of online and print content for UCI Health and varied external and internal audiences. Incumbent will support the editorial, digital, marketing and communication teams by generating clear, concise and compelling copy for a variety of mediums from start to finish. Incumbent serves as a functional and technical expert in writing and editing content for the consumer website,, social media channels and other internal and external venues, as needed. Using a content management system, incumbent will ensure consistency and quality in all aspects of UCI Health's online presence. Incumbent will be conversant with best SEO practices and analytics, with the goal of providing a positive visitor experience and driving reader engagement. Working closely with marketing managers, incumbent will develop service line information, physician bios and other content to support UCI Health initiatives.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $57,400.00    Maximum  $97,300.00


Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years experience creating and modifying web page content

Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and influence groups of diverse individuals

Demonstrated experience with MS Office

Demonstrated experience writing and editing website content or marketing print materials

Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills

Strong marketing and customer relationship experience


Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years experience writing, academic or healthcare experience desired

Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, English, Journalism or similar degree program

Familiarity of content management software

Knowledge of Academic Medical Center organizational structures.

Knowledge of Dreamweaver, FrontPage

Knowledge of HTML
