Position Summary: 

The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information systems.  Independently maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system.  Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.  Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $71,000.00    Maximum  $160,000.00


Required Qualifications:

Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to function as a project leader and project member

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to self initiate and effectively problem solve issues

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience implementing and supporting Clinical Documentation System in a procedural / acute care setting

Must be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must have working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools

Must possess a working knowledge of HL7 and other interface/integration strategies

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Working knowledge of OR and GI Lab workflows


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using / implementing GI Lab Imaging system

Experience using / implementing Epic OpTime

Experience using / implementing Cardiology Clinical Applications

Experience using / implementing the OR applications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of clinical workflow and documentation in the procedural sedation process

Project Coordination / management experience
