Position Summary: 

Incumbent directs and oversees the PPMO, including execution of key enterprise initiatives to improve operational systems and productivity that will improve organizational and clinical performance and reduce overall operating expenses throughout the health system. Mentors project leaders to improve processes, procedures and standards based on program's needs. Responsible for developing champions for key projects, assuring sufficient involvement by appropriate stakeholders and delivering projects on time and on budget. Utilizes the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Lean Six Sigma methodologies, as well as internal and external best practices to accomplish organizational goals. This role determines the most effective utilization of team members and improvement initiatives for maximum organizational impact.


Required Qualifications:

Ability to effectively work with key stakeholders to successfully understand and deliver desired outcomes

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 10+ years of project management experience

Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills

Effective report writing, presentation skills, and written and verbal communication skills in English to a broad and diverse audience

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Five or more years of supervisory/management experience

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or Public Health

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.)

Project management experience in a hospital or healthcare organization

Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with various/all constituencies

Understanding and experience in the use of tools for process improvement to include Lean Six Sigma, change management and other improvement techniques


Preferred Qualifications:

Certified in Change Management

Lean Six Sigma Certification

Project Management Professional (PMP) or PgMP Certification
