Position Summary: 

Incumbent is responsible for all management functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care for Pacific Oncology Services. Manages and directs all staff and functions in the unit while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $88,300.00    Maximum  $159,000.00


Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Chemotherapy administration experience

Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population

Current BLS certification

Current California RN license

Demonstrated experience with budgetary processes including establishing, maintaining, and reporting income, expenses, and variances

Demonstrated supervisory experience working in an acute care setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care setting

Minimum 3 years experience working in Oncology or Infusion Center

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data


Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese

Experience working in a UC and/or union environment

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices especially as relates to practice management

Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market

Oncology Nurse Certification
