Position Summary: 

The PRA II is responsible for receiving and processing requests for the release of patient information to various requestors.  Duties include providing information in accordance with department policies and procedures and within state and federal statutes; abstracting information from patient records; and using various computer systems to enter and view information.  Responds to phone inquiries and questions from requestors.  Assists with reception coverage as required.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $20.86   Midpoint  $23.40   Maximum  $25.94



Required Qualifications:

3 years experience working with hospital medical records

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the department and across the Health System

Familiarity with alpha/numeric filing systems

Previous experience releasing medical information to requestors

Previous experience working in medical records correspondence

Bilingual in English and Spanish


Preferred Qualifications:

PC literacy
