Position Summary: 

The Sterile Processing Dept. Supervisor will supervise, prioritize, and coordinate team work flow for the shift. Will ensure the appropriate decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department.  The supervisor acts as a resource, and ensures that infection control practices are followed.  Coordinates, plans and assigns workloads and manages employee activities, time reporting, and scheduling. Will manage the performance of team members to ensure excellent customer service and effective operations; this includes, completion of performance evaluations and corrective/disciplinary action if necessary.


Salary Range: 

Rate    Minimum  $20.69   Midpoint  $27.32   Maximum  $33.96


Required Qualifications:

Certification by The National Institute for the Certification of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution

Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology

Minimum three years’ work experience as a CST in a leadership capacity

Successful completion of an accredited school of sterile processing or surgical technology


Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced healthcare environment

Prior supervisory experience
