Position Summary: 

The Director is responsible for the administration and operations of UC Irvine Healthcare Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center (CDDC).  Responsibilities include the diagnostic G.I., interventional endoscopy and anesthesia services, as well as multispecialty clinics supporting the gastroenterology, hepatology, colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and G.I. surgery services.  This position will also support an off-site clinic multispecialty site in Apple Valley.  Works in partnership with the Medical Director of the CDDC in support of Medical Center operations, goals and objectives.  Maintains responsibility for strategic planning, customer service, patient satisfaction, financial management, capital equipment planning, process improvement, human resource management and policy and procedure improvement.  Serves as a principle financial liaison to Medical Center and School of Medicine departments.  Maintains a strong working knowledge of directives and guidelines related to billing compliance, payer regulations, and specialty-specific initiatives.

Consistently ensures compliance with all university policy/procedures, applicable laws, regulatory agency requirements, codes of practice and organization work standards (service, quality and safety standards)

Consistently provides services which anticipate and/or exceed customer expectations in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and delivery requirements

Effectively demonstrates strategic thinking in developing short-term goals for the department, consistent with the UCI Medical Center institutional goals and objectives

Effectively develops unit/department operational policies and procedures

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience to cover operations, with related accomplishments in performance, development, productivity, and cost management
