Position Summary: 

Incumbent is responsible for management of the Cardiovascular Clinic, Cardiac Rehab and Cardiology Lab.  Responsible for daily operations including staffing, human resources, budget, regulatory compliance and medical records. Accountable for problem identification and resolution, process improvement, customer service, development of policies and procedures and staff competencies. Collaborates with marketing and business development to market services and develop new programs. Works with medical director(s) to coordinate care, implement change and monitor operations of the service areas assigned, providing clinical services as needed.


Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English  

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job  

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties  

Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously  

Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data  

Demonstrated experience with budgetary processes including establishing, maintaining, and reporting income, expenses, and variances  

Experience developing and implementing new cardiovascular services/programs

Demonstrated experience working in a cardiovascular clinical setting

Current RDCS, RCS or ACS

Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a sonographer

Minimum 3 years’ practice management experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field


Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese

Experience working in a UC and/or union environment

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices especially as relates to practice management

Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market

MBA, MHA or MHSA or equivalent combination of education and management experience  

Experience with ICAEL accreditation

Experience managing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic services

Experience with arrhythmic services an device clinic models
