Position Summary: 

The incumbent assists the Master Black Belt to lead and manage Lean Six Sigma project portfolios and to employ Lean Six Sigma methodology and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish measurable clinical and business process improvements and objectives. The incumbent is an expert in Lean Six Sigma methodology and statistical tools and works with other certified professionals in planning, designing, and accomplishing key projects. Provides oversight and guidance for a portfolio of projects. Acts as change agent to foster and support a Lean Six Sigma culture and build capacity throughout the organization. Teaches classes in Lean Six Sigma and mentors Green Belts.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $84,200.00    Maximum  $151,500.00


Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project

Analytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of data

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Effective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Experience with structured Change Management methodologies

Good team leadership and motivational skills and good creative problem solving skills

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access and PowerPoint, and statistical data analysis software and other desktop applications

Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with various/all constituencies

Results-oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker

Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a qualified institution

Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Belt experience as demonstrated by leadership of several successful Lean or Six Sigma projects

Strong facilitation skills

Strong project management skills

Understands and has significant experience in the use of tools for process improvement to include lean methodologies, Lean Sigma, Six Sigma (e.g. DMAIC), project management, change management, and other improvement techniques


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in applying Lean Sigma in healthcare

Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, Tableau)

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Master's Degree

Prosci Change Management certification
