Position Summary: 

Incumbent serves as a technical resource to the Emerging Technologies for system administration, implementation and support activities, troubleshooting, programming and QA/Testing.  Serves as a liaison between the Emerging Technologies and other units within Information Services.

 

Salary Range: 

 

Rate    Minimum  $68,800.00    Maximum  $123,900.00

IS:  Serves as a project leader as requested and/or leads portions of larger projects. Identifies and organizes tasks required for implementation of system projects, enhancements and maintenance. Manages resources and project plans required to complete system configuration, testing and activation. Trains users and other IS staff as required.

IS: Helps to ensure that the IS Production and Non Production environments meet the established business requirements and Service Level Agreements. Coordinates and analyzes data gaps by collaborating and partnering with the appropriate IT business analysts and subject matter experts.

IS:  Develops, manages and tests all environments / systems to ensure system integrity and availability.  Produces concise documentation related to testing outcomes. Makes recommendations for modifications as necessary.

IS:  Effectively acts as a liaison and communicates progress to appropriate members of the management team and others as needed.

IS:  Functions as a high level technical resource with a concentration on the systems administration, database management and Quality Assurance.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and problem solve and discriminate between important and unimportant details, recognize inconsistencies between facts, and draw correct inferences from information

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret data in order to draw valid conclusions for complex business issues

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Minimum 2 years’ systems administration experience

Experience with Server Administration on Windows Platform

Experience in designing and implementing test plans, scripts and scenarios

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with data analysts, system administrators, etc.

Experience with SQL Server 2008 or higher, Stored Procedures, and .NET

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Experience supporting or working with QA/Testing environment, including unit, functional, interface and performance testing

Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to lead projects or portions of larger projects

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting and troubleshooting JBoss Application Server

Experience performing automation testing

Experience using/implementing/supporting an EMR in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting

Previous experience working with Allscripts (Eclipsis) Sunrise Clinical applications

Previous experience working in healthcare

Experience managing an enterprise Active Directory environment

Experience with SQL Server System Admin experience
